Our knowledge of the chaotically produced universe that we live in mirrors these phases. The periodic phases correspond to our rational grasp of what is going on. The chaotic phases correspond to our incubation of ideas in unconscious processes. The windows correspond to moments of intuition with subsequent rationalization.
